Recently went to Kinross Stamp Shop to have Richard Allcoat value a collection I have had since I was a child (many years ago). Sadly the collection did not have any real value but the experience of talking to Richard was fabulous. His knowledge about stamps is second to non and after spending an very enjoyable hour with him I have come away motivated to start the hobby again. I will be seeking Richards advise regularly and intend buying the right stamps from him to build a collection with some value. I have no hesitation in recommending Richard Allcoat and the Kinross Stamp Shop.
Service very very shocking! I have just travelled over an hour for a reputable person to have a look at my collection that I have for over 24years. I was not interested of the value as it is more sentimental than money oriented. I wanted to know the history of the stamps and what countries they were from... arrived into the shop and been told after 5 seconds that the album is worthless, full of second hand stamps and more junior album - and been dismissed like a silly little girl, wasting someones time!! The owner did not even looked at the stamps, just quickly turned pages (some covered with see through paper) and handed it back! What a shocking service and experience! This is not a professional service nor friendly! This is somebody who does not care for nobody just them! Would never return and I do hope that some of my stamps are worth of good money as - if you looked properly - some are not second hand and they are proper collection! But dont worry Im going to explore this without you and will find out the information about them - just not from you!
